The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Finder icon in dock

    So by accident I must have dragged the Finder's icon out of the dock, like to erase it, and not it's stuck as an image on my desktop, on top of all applications.
    I can't select it or anything... How can I fix it? :(

    If you want to get it back on your dock, just drag it from here:

    /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app

    back onto the dock.

    Not sure what you mean by stuck as an image on your desktop. Try rebooting?

    Yeah reboot worked... I don't know why I haven't thought about it... I feel dumb lol
