Whenever I hit the resize window button (the little green button in the top left corner of the window) firefox instantly goes to the smallest possible size rather than its last size that I did manually. heres a pic:

If I resize the window to something else within a session then it will go to that size, but if I quit and reopen the program it will be back to that stupid size. Help? Anyone else have this happen? I tried reinstalling but nothing happened. Is this normal?

The couple times I've used the green button it's done the exact same for me.
I've got out of the "Windows" Minimize/Maximize habit and just drag and resize things now. -
Does that when I press the green button too...
-
Hm, does the same for me. I guess its just the way they did it, but no biggie in my opinion. I just leave it full screen

Runescape player huh

I just hit the green button and it toggled full screen then back to the size it had before I hit it. Isn't that the way it always works? The one guy who doesn't care about a feature has no problems with it.

Now mine started doing that!
To fix it, hit the green button to shrink the window, and then stretch it back out. Firefox should then remember these window dimensions when you hit the green button again. -
I'm not having this issue. Are you guys all on 3.0.1? Of course I never use the green buttons, and never maximize windows.

Ah, the green button strikes again. Personally, I only use it in Finder occasionally when I encounter long file/folder names.

Same bug here too. And there's another persnickety one: Anyone who uses Wells Fargo Bank can probably replicate this. I have WFB in my bookmarks and whenever I click on it, Firefox insists on opening the bank directly in the bookmarks sidebar. So, I have been conditioned to only right-click the bookmark and open it in a new tab. Very annoying.
Another recent bug I have experienced is that Print and Page Setup end up grayed out and I have to quit to see it again. Of course, I can use Command P to print, but sometimes I need to change the Page Setup too.
This last bug may have been introduced by one of my new extensions, like PicLens. -
honestly, the best thing to tell you is that that button is really not incredibly useful and almost unneccessary.
With Exposé, it is much much simpler to organize your desktop and you really don't have to move windows around at all.
Setup Exposé to use hotcorners and get good at using it, and forget about resizing windows, once you have them set how you like, you really don't have to deal with it anymore.
also, Cmd+Tab is usually an excellent way to get from application to application as well.
One thing worth mentioning though. Firefox 3 is normally an application that will actually Maximize to fit the whole screen when that button is pressed. it is possible that deleting some preference files may set that back to normal. as well as updating to the latest version. -
I use piclens and it has not affected print preview for me in FF3. I stay away from the green button because I can't stand "maximized" windows. To me it seems silly to give the entire desktop to only one app.
