First time caller here with a few questions on my new MBP:

I have a line in (worldspace sat radio) that is clearly working, see attached screencap, as i can record it in garage band, but the internal speakers or headphone jacks are not outputting the sound.

I also have an airport express working with itunes, and once the above is fixed, i want to somehow stream the input (sat radio) to the airport express output terminal. but how?

re point 1 above. in windows with soundblasters, u would set the sound card to "play what u can hear" and all would be well. On another note, i was also shocked there is no system recorder that i can find that outputs wav files. also useful. But all and all just loving this box!

Macbook Pros do not have a powered input jack. You have to use the onboard mic or some kind with external power.

thanks, but i think i figured out point 1, the volume in QT was turned off for some reason. But using QT in audio record mode (preview) the signal from the worldspace reciever is fine and playing from the macbook pro speakers, but now i have to stream that to another part of the house using an airport express that i have working. soooo...i suppose i have to figure out how to connect itunes with the input on the laptop. i guess somesorta server will have to sit inbetween to stream to a songfile in the itunes playlist. then all will be wonderful...but how to?

    hmmmm,downloading this now but it's 25-35$: http://rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/mac/
