The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. I just wanted to say a big THANKS to all the people that contribute to the forum answers here. I haven't posted much, as every question I've had over the past few months seems to have already been asked and answered. I'm sure there's plenty of other people out there that aren't that "visible" but learning a lot too.

Thanks notably to Sam and some of the other regulars - I've got the switcher's guide and other recommended docs all printed out and ready for when my first Macbook Pro arrives shortly!

The forum has helped me greatly in deciding to make the switch from Windows, and it wasn't an easy decision but I'm really excited about getting to grips with OSX now. I've been notified that my MBP has been shipped so not long now!

Keep up the good work guys! :D

Yeah this forum is awesome. Helped me a lot with my recent switch. Full of people who are genuinely wanting to help and quite knowledgeable too. I just hope one day I can return the favour and help someone out but my knowledge of macs and OSX are pretty limited still. Cheers to everyone here. :)

just always remember that most of the people answering a lot of questions here learned a lot of what they know from looking at these forums, answering and asking questions, and enjoying it.

actually, we all just have a terrible sickness of having to answer all these questions people post up, I have the same problem in my studio in school, it isn't fair, it is just not fair ^_^

Yeah, that is totally how I ended up getting somewhat knowledgeable about macs. ;)
