Use the student discount, sell the Nano and you got yourself a pretty sweet deal
-
Pretty nice deal for the 15 people worldwide who don't have ipods already -
Haha, it'll be my second.
Anyways, people can always sell the iPod. -
WHAT A DEAL!
Got me a 60gig Black iPod to match my BlacBook
all for $220 -
Does this apply to Canada? Cause apparently once you buy the MB or MBP and an ipod, you can either do mail-in rebate or online rebate.

So it doesnt really matter if its USA or Canada right? -

Does this entire promotion set off a chime in anyone else's head that apple's trying to move their current stock of ipods for some reason? Speculation welcome
-
They do this promotion every year.
-
i wish they would do this in the UK i would order a macbook in a second
-
Yeah but it has to be a Mac Laptop profiled with capabilty of an iPod. It is a reat deal though. I would by a Mac right away, if I were rich. Ne way, yeah. This promotion has always been out!
-
yeah they did this promotion last year with the ipod minis... a discontinued line!
i heard that apple recently placed large orders for flash memory, which could mean a bigger harddrive for the nano? i hope the video ipods remain on top through 2007, seeing as i just bought one... -
It's a great deal if you need a iPod and printer, not bad deal if you just get them and sell them to help pay for the MacBook.
Also note you can get up to $100 rebate when you buy certain printers also (there is a small box on the bottom left corner of the promotion page about the printer).

Strange that you have to purchase from a campus authorized re-seller. Why not allow students (like myself) to purchaser from any authorized re-seller and require a student i.d., etc. to verify the purchaser is a student. I don't want to open another credit account with apple when I already have one set up at an apple authorized re-seller. I am one of the few without an ipod, so these restrictions are a bit frustrating to me as I was considering purchasing a MacBook. I would like to inquire about my situation, but I wouldn't know who to call or if there is any way around these terms.
-
I just bought a 17" Macbook Pro and got a 30GB white Video, comin next wekk, I'm psyched!
-
This deal seems to also be avalible is Canada as I've recieved an email about it.

Btw... is this a yearly thing? I'm planning to buy a laptop next year -
yeah, over the past years apple has been consistent with a back to school rebate thing. Your local retailers might do similar stuff later in the year, FYI. I remember compusmart throwing in ms office teacher/student mac edition last year.
