Looking to do some light gaming on a 13" macbook pro, I have played team fortress 2 on a mac mini at low res and with a FPS config, but was wondering if the boost in specs, native widescreen would make a difference?

I am getting a gaming laptop seperate, this would be as a backup or if I am without gaming laptop (leave it at home, etc).

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks!

I'd go with the extra gaming laptop if you have the money. The 13" jlatest version will play Crysis at a playable rate, but doesn't look the part (someone else tell me if I'm missing something)... Games like Half Life 2, etc work fine at native res though, but prob cause they're on a different engine to todays games.

If a laptop is just gonna sit at home on a desk your better off getting a desktop, better bang for the buck too.

Get a desktop, put in a high end graphics card, a decent cpu and you are set. Don't get a Mac if your priority for the machine is gaming and mobility is not a major factor.

Well he did say just light gaming. I run a pretty good game of Team Fortress 2 on my White Macbook which is roughly the same speed.

For some light gaming like Team Fortress 2 the 13" MacBook Pro will be just fine.
