This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     So what kind of applications (Free Preferably ) you like to use on your Mac. If its possible link a picture of the application with a brief description on what its used for. Thank you.

    Im a big fan of VLC media player for any movie playback, and adium for chat.

    flip4mac is a nice component to have to decode xvid, avi, etc. I also use open office which is way better than office 2008. msn messenger: mac is also nice. A quick google can give give the links.

    appzapper - delete applications,
    VLC, Boxee - movie players (boxee is more robust then just a simple player)

    Thunderbird- better than mail,
    Firefox- need i say more?
    Transmission - bittorrent client
    ClamXav- virus scanner
    Rightzoom- make green button expand windows "windows" style
    istat, - monitor your stuff
    virtual box, - run virtual machines
    wine bottler, - run windows programs in osx
    kismac - wireless stumbler... but more kick booty
    handbrake - rip dvd's
    unrarx - .rar program

    Best mail program is GMail App online. I've been using Thunderbird 3.0 .. still not great enough.
