Ordered my MacBook at 9:10am yesterday, it's now 8:15am, and the MacBook just arrived at my door. This is a good start for my first Apple experiences.

Wow! Congrats to you (and Apple - that was fine service)!
-
Why couldn't they deliver it that afternoon? Pretty poor.
-
You're right...really disappointing!
-
LOL... Yeah, it should be like ordering pizza.
-
That's insanely fast! Did you select an expedited shipping option?
-
Very nice.
And I'm also very impressed by the minimalistic packaging. Seems to suit the style of the laptop.
Unfortunately, until wednesday, I'm stuck with 1GB of ram, so I'm not expecting stellar performance.
No, just standard shipping from Apple AU store. I also got the education discount, saved $150. -
Is it your first Mac?
-
I would have expected it to be delivered the day before ordering.
-
Well enjoy the experience, and make sure to hangout and help in the Apple forum. Or ask questions, I'm guessing you're more on the other side though.
-
Maybe they rushed it so you don't have time to change your mind
J/K Congrats on a beautiful machine with a superb operating system and aparently amazing customer service
-
This is the first Mac I've owned, yes, and have only had limited experience with using them at university. Though, coming from a Linux background, I've been told the learning curve for OS X will be gentler.

Wow...I've never seen shipping that fast before.
Congratulations on your first Mac. You'll like it.

Enjoying it so far, but my iTunes library has all my tracks doubled up. I'm assuming it was because I had all my music in two places at once at some stage, but now after moving it all into my iTunes folder, I can't seem to find an option for rescaning my library. Oh, and the system updates script froze on me, LOL.

Yeaps, if the MacBook Pro doesn't show up at your door within half a day or ordering, its half price!
And of course, Lysander, I recommend these two links to all new switchers
