I'm having a hard time finding games that will run on macbook. I'm ok with older games. I'm going to rebuy diablo 2 so I can run that. What other games can be multiplayed with there pc counter parts for some fun when I'm tired or writing?
of course I'm also rebuying the expansion disc for diablo 2![]()
I already have WOW

x-moto is fun for a short break

Personally I love the shareware games from www.ambrosiasw.com and www.freeverse.com.

Pangea Software makes some pretty fun to play single player games for the Macbook, like Enigmo 2.
Halo UB will run, but only on very low settings. -
I think a friend off me had on his macbook pro WinXp Install!
And now can he a lot of games play!(gta:sa,Counter Strike,....)
but that means not that it go on your Notebook!!
good luck -
Warcraft 3 would work, but I don't know if you can play against Windows users. I would doubt it.
Just about any Command & Conquer game would also be available and work on a Macbook, but those (at least the Generals series) I know don't work for playing multiplayer against Windows machines. In that particular case you can't even play multiplayer between an intel and powerpc mac (unless you run the powerpc version on the intel mac, but the game was too choppy for my MBP when I tried that).
In general, I don't think many games will allow multiplayer cross-platform. There are some Mac gaming websites out there, try looking at some of those - I'm sure someone has a list somewhere -
Ha ha I think you're gonna have a rough time looking for games for the Macbook
but yes you can play Warcraft its a great game -

Why won't generals play? It uses the online muliplayer for the pc's?
-

Do they say that on the box I hope? That would really suck for people who purchase it thinking they can play with other people who have exactly the same game.
-
I'll be able to dual boot midway next week so I guess I'll wait and see.
Does diablo 2 work to multiplay with people on pc's? please please tell me it's 100% compatible -
How well does warcraft III run on a macbook?
-
It even runs WoW pretty good. -

I see nothing about command and conquer generals that says it will not play online with pc versions?
Does anyone know for sure it will not work with the EA online games or direct connect with someone who has a pc version? -
Yes, I know for sure. We play C&C Generals (well, mostly Zero Hour) on our LAN in the apartment a lot and the Mac versions are not compatible with the Windows versions. And the online play uses different servers altogether, so no chance there either.

Apple's listing for it is actually more accurate:

Another vote for WoW and Warcraft III.
-
is warcraft III compatible with the pc version?
-
-
So all these games are available natively for MAC, or are you using Bootcamp/Parallels to run it?
-
I can't run bootcamp and dual boot with windows until next week when I can borrow an sp2 cd since mine was before it.
I want to mainly use os x if possible though. -
You can get a mac version of Knights of the Old Republic, class game.
-
-
works pretty good. -
I was thinking of trying that, but just figured I'd use my buddies copy that is sp2
Good games that run on a macbook?
