Looks nice! After using it for a while, notice any scratches on the unit? I'm thinking of getting an Ibook myself but the glossy lid is worrying me.

I'd be interested to know about scratches, too. I have a 20 GB iPod which seems like it's made out of the same material, and the white part of the case scratched rather easily just being in my front pants pocket with nothing else in there (coins, keys, etc.).

About iBooks getting scratched, I have a 700mhz G3, which I believe has a slightly different finish than the newer ones, but I'll offer my experience anyway. Mine has a lot of cracks and scratches, but thats because its previous owner was crazy with it. When the logic board went out, instead of sending it in for warranty work, he pried it open with a screwdriver. I keep it in my backpack with a ton of other stuff, I don't take perfect care of it, but I am at least sane it, and I have not gotten any new scratches on it since I got it. The nice thing about it is that, even with all the scratches, it still looks decent, and these are probably some of the worst scratches an iBook has ever seen without taking sandpaper to it. My old 500mhz G3, which I also kept loose in a backpack never had any major scratches. In short, they are quite scratch resistant, but not scratch proof. Just keep it in a decent bag, and don't do anything stupid with it, and you should be fine.
