Is there a growl notification extension available so that you can see when you have new mail? I usually keep my sound on mute and hide my dock so there is no way for me to tell when new mail arrives. Thanks.

Amazing how nobody here can EVER answer any of my questions. Anyway, on a similar topic as the previous post, does anyone know how to prevent Mail from downloading the Spam from Gmail? I get so much spam that Mail is always working and it slows down the delivery of my real messages. Any ideas?

There is an add-on for Growl to display Mail information. Here's info on it: http://growl.info/documentation/growlmail.php

It has a filter to ignore the junk mail that Mail catches. But, I haven't seen a switch to disable Mail from downloading junk mail, yet. Did you try adjusting the mail settings on Gmail's website?

Actually, I just tried using GrowlMail and it seems as if Mail doesn't support in Leopard. I'll have to look into this more...

Wow calm down. Give us time. As dbam said, there is an add on but it doesn't work in leopard. If no one else here has any ideas a few minutes with the google machine should help you.
