Okay, so here's the problem to your mac

    1. Very long sleep time
    2. Does not wake after sleep

    Here's a solution

    1. Wait for the sleep image to be completely written onto the disk (the light beats slowly) before moving the laptop

    2. Or use instant sleep mode (note: consumes a bit more power on sleep mode and cannot swap battery when on sleep). Open terminal and type "sudo pmset hibernatemode 0"

    3. Get an SSD.

This fixes my macbook sleep issues, and it's been working very well until now.

    :) have fun

Thanks for the info but I have not heard of people having your Mac issues. I have a MBP and a 27" iMac which I sleep daily and they wake right up immediately when I need to use them.
