I was able to use Handbrake under Leopard; I can no longer check because I've returned to Tiger temporarily. I do remember however that during the short time I used Leopard I did encode something, and it went well.

I am using it and it is compatible - not sure why it's giving you trouble.

    Works for me as well.

I offer an app mod for those of you who find the pineapple c*cktail icon aesthetically nauseating like me.

Download this .zip archive and place the .icns file in the following folder--

First ctr-click (right-click) on the HandBrake app and select "Show Package Contents". After that new finder window opens go to Contents->Resources-> and drop the new .icns file in here (replacing the old one).

Sometimes this changes the logo immediately other times it won't happen until OS X reloads. But, the end result... a good looking icon for HandBrake.

    Enjoy!

EDIT: I did not design this icon, nor do I remember where I got it, but it was designed specifically for HandBrake.
