Just wondering before I install this bootcamp beta..
I'd get leopard, but I'm doing memory upgrades instead..
And it was not $69 to students..

without convincing your machine that it is earlier in 2007, you will not be able to use boot camp anymore in osx 10.4 Tiger.
you can still operate any boot camp partitions you have already made, you just can't restore your drive to a single volume and then remake a new boot camp partition and reinstall windows.
virtual machines still work in 10.4
obviously both boot camp and virtual machines are available in 10.5 -
Yeaps, its only a small discount for students. I had a feeling that Apple wouldn't keep the $69 price point, that's why back then I always stated that "Leopard is expected to cost $69 for students". Unfortunately, a lot of people abused the system, being like 10 copies for $69 each and selling them to non-students for $90 or so.

if you get leopard direct from your campus store, its possible to get leopard for 69. Similarily you can often get other apple software cheaper on your campus since they can verify your student status and get you the true student deals

Most campuses I have heard about have them for $69. Mine does.

I think the exact date you need to set your clock before is September 30, 2007. Apple has even provided documentation to help Boot Camp Beta users regain functionality of the expired software, Boot Camp Beta: Removing a Windows partition after Boot Camp Beta has expired in Mac OS X 10.4.

I reset my clock to August 25, 2007 and was able to get Boot Camp 1.3 to run with no issues at all. So, yes it works.
Has your bootcamp stopped working?
