    hi, 1 month ago i bought a macbook pro, this model come with a 160gb hd, i have an wd scorpio blue 500 gb, and i would like to use this with my macbook, i would like to know, if i open the laptop for put the hd, do i break the warranty or steal work?

    nope. warranty is not void. However, if you ever need repairs, then you should put back your original hdd coz apple will replace any components changed with the default one. Therefore you may land with a 160gb again.

    ^ This. If you do it carefully, and not rush it, it shouldn't do ANY damage... Unless you are wreckless and do not take any care at it, then you may run into troubles. But yes, as said, keep your original HDD just incase you need to take it in for repairs or such.
