I am trying to install Windows 7 on my 17 inch intel macbook pro updated for Snowleapord (I bought the computer used, it is about 1 1/2 years old). Everything is going fine, I install the 64 bit disc, when I get to "Where do you want to install Windows" I check Partition 3 Bootcamp, and get a window saying it cannot install it there. When I ask for details it says "Windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. Windows must be installed to a partition formatted as NTFS."

I don't have a clue that that means. Can anyone help? Should I havew used the 32 bit disc? Thanks.

Never mind. It turns out that it helps if you read the installation instructions I was following.

Yup, you must format in NTFS for Windows 7. Easy mistake to make as previously you could also use FAT32. Good luck.
