Its interesting, Steve Jobs has been known from time to time to reply to emails (email him at [email protected] if you wanna try, hehe), and they're usually hilarious and short, one-line (or in this case, one-word) replies!

Comments are funny, email is funny. But I don't get why they would think Apple would allow tethering. There is a reason why there is a 3g version.

solution: get an iPhone app like MiWi (jailbreaking app), which creates a wireless network that you can connect anything to (computers, iPhones, whatever you want). then just connect the iPad to that network. only drawback is that it drains the iphone battery quickly. I've not experimented, but a full iPhone will probably be drained inside of 2 hours with this feature turned on.

or get a PalmPre Plus or WinMo based phone, which can create wireless or bluetooth networks by default (built in feature). T-Mobile offers phones that come with real and unlimited data.

buying a 3G version of the iPad is for suckers. and so is NOT jailbreaking your iPhone. :)

Wow, I hope that is a joke, because it's pretty stupid.

Well, I don't understand why you say that. So does this mean those iPhone owners who want to buy and use iPad for web surfing will have to buy iPad 3G plus a separate data plan? I wish AT&T, at least, let iPhone users share its data plan with the iPad.

Reading most of your pots, I tend to disagree with you on almost everything.... but I completely agree with you here. The iPhone is a POS without jailbreak. That being said, it is an awesome device with jailbreak and fixes many of its flaws and lacking features.

Anyone who doesn't jailbreak their phone is missing out on a HUGE number of additional features and capabilities, nevermind the apps which can be purchased which aren't allowed into the App Store. The comment was bang on.

Just because some one want's a 3G version of the iPad doesn't make them a sucker, neither does not jailbreaking your iPhone.

+1 The iPhone is way more useful with a jailbreak. Even a simple app like SBSettings makes life with an iPhone infinitely easier to manage. It only makes sense to have a quick launch menu for basic system toggles like bluetooth, wifi, location services to save battery life without having to go 3 layers deep into different settings menus

people who ll buy the normal version of ipad or the 3g version are not suckers , they are just people who have money that they would like to waste , i am sure people who ll buy this ipad do have a macbook pro + an iphone , so they ll just buy the ipad for the interface and the apple logo , i can't figure something to do with the ipad (un- jailbreaked) other than browsing the internet on the bed before sleeping :D
