I'm trying to figure out how many megapixels my current iSight camera is (MacBook Pro 15" purchased in late 2008) so I can figure out how much of an upgrade the webcams on various machines I'm looking at would be (the webcams on the machines I'm looking at range from 1.0 megapixels to 3.0 megapixels). From the system profiler in the Apple menu:
Any ideas?

I think it was around 1.3 ~ 2 M back then, but you can't find resolution under system information?
There is a Mac guide (Mactracker I believe...) that has information about Macs since like forever. -

just multiply it out and divide by 1m?
EDIT: wikipedia is actually pretty top notch for released tech products. even more consistently accurate than most forums. -

Yes, it is that simple. You could have also conducted a Google search for "resolution to MP." The first result would have taken you to a website where you could put the resolution in and it would spit back out the MP count along with the aspect ratio. Either way, you are looking at a 1.3MP camera on your MBP.
