    How do I take a screenshot while in Time Machine?

    In case you are curious as to why I want to do this, it's for a technical communications course and I have to make a short instruction manual for something. (In my case, setting up Time Machine). I guess there is always google images but this oddball wouldn't be consistent with my previous screenshots.

    Anyone know? Time machine is locking me out of cmd-shift-4

    Try Command + Shift + 3, that should work wherever you are on in OS X :).
