Hi all,
Per the title, does anyone have any suggestions or experiences physically securing a MacBook Air, given that it does not have a dedicated lock slot?
Thanks!

Don't leave it out of your sight, or unattended.

Of course I won't, but there will be time where I have leave my desk even for 5 minutes and I can't carry the MBA. I.e. bathroom break.
-
1. Hide it in an envelope.
2. Use iAlertU ( Download iAlertU for Mac - Remote controlled motion-sensitive alarm for MacBook. MacUpdate Mac Software Downloads, so that when the MBA is moved, a siren will sound and alert everyone.
3. Get a Macbook Air Lock Bracket ( Turn Around Technologies items - Get great deals on items on eBay Stores!)
I believe Apple recommends the envelope.

You can configure it to just use your Macbook speakers I believe.

The MBA is so dang light and portable, it is clearly designed not to be a leave-it-around item. kinda like my Ipad. It has no lock slot, so I take it. But Budding has a good alternative in #3, if you just have to leave it. (be aware that if someone nefarious closes your lid, the hinge is toast.
Is this how flame wars start? I've always wondered. -
I just make sure the tab or string is fastened on the envelope, or someone might slide it out.

My iPad goes with me everywhere while I'm at work.....even to the bathroom.....where I am right now!!

How do you lock MacBook Air since it does not have a lock slot?
