Okay, so for a 15" MacBook Pro, 2.4GHz, 2GB Ram, 200GB HD, and the graphics card, its $1300. How much is it expected to go down before July? So instead of buying it on sale now, wait until June to buy it, would it be cheaper? Or something better for same price?

I doubt its going to get any cheaper; Apple will just stop selling them when they run out as the older MBP model is they are on clearance. If you wait till June, it is likely you will just see the current MBP model in clearance at that Price.

Would you consider that a good thing? I mean, I'm not sure about the super glossy screen, but everything else is great. Except a few dont have a firewire... grr... I hate this.

The new mbp won't be going for 1300 in july. It will probably be ~$1600/1700 and that'll only be in the refurb store.

You probably won't be able to get a better deal on a new previous gen mbp than now. Perhaps you'll be able to find a used one, but why risk it?

Well, I have to sadly. My parents have the money. They were going to chip in for it, only 300. But I have no way of paying for it in whole, since I don't have a credit card. They were going to buy it, and I was going to pay them off. So they have the control... I can't do anything about it and its killing me.

in that case its best not to worry about it until the time comes to get an mbp.

But what you can when you can.

Also, consider getting a job or extra job of some sort to pay for it in cash. Few things depreciate like computer equipment and paying interest on it is certainly not the way.

When I could not afford my own Mac, I used to ride my bike down to the University computer lab late at night so I could have the whole lab to myself.

    Just my .02.
