My wife's mother is thinking of getting a mac but for some reason she doesn't like google search. Is there a way to change the default search engine in safari? Thanks![]()

does she have to use safari? i would recommend using firefox
-
Yeah, go into preferences and then change the setting for "Default Search Engine"
Yahoo is the only choice besides Google though.. -
I just downloaded Safari after seeing this. I don't know why I did... silly me. Anywho!
I found out how to... I only know how to switch it to yahoo, but you do that by clicking the little microscope in the search blob. I do not know how to ad them, I think that yahoo might've been rolled over into it by IE7. You can pick what's your default with that very easily, then you could use it in safari. -

google is the best search engine.

I guess she likes Internet Explorer (which I'm pretty sure you can't install on OS X, right?) and I guess she likes MSN search. So there's no way to change to anything other than google or yahoo? That's kind of weird..
