the best way to do this is in a windows machine, and the easiest way is to use the tool that microsoft made for this. or you can google the internet for another methods. but basically you wont be having the bootloader file in the usb stick without windows. I think there is a tool for this in OSX, try to take a look at the bootcamp program, since the bootcamp app is different for the mbp and the mba

I'm actually talking about installing windows 7 under parallel desk 7 environment, not physically install the windows 7 in a different partition on hard drive.

When you go to the CD/DVD drive options in Parallels, set it to point directly at the .iso file, and it will use that file as its drive and install fine.

If this doesn't work your downloaded .iso might be bad. If you double click the .iso in Finder it should mount it like other image files and let you browse inside of it... if that doesn't work, there is something wrong with the file.

yeah, just point Parallels to your iso file when it asks and it will see it as if it were the install CD. That works for any OS .iso file (like a linux iso or win7 iso, etc) that your creating a vm for using parallels desktop.

Thanks for pointing this! Is there any place I can download the correct iso file or I have to make one myself?

I thought you said in your original post that you downloaded the iso file already?

A legal .iso download is available from the links in this thread.

He never said where he downloaded it from. Plenty of corrupt/virus laden files floating around out there. The link I provided is direct from MS and fully legit.

I've only done with with legal Windows iso files I got from Microsoft... so if your getting it from some other source,... it could have problems. I've also used it for several .iso files from many Linux distributions as well and Parallels hasn't had any problems.
