I just did the Optibay, transferring data now, how do I make sure that SSD is the boot drive?
I don't want to erase all the system files on my hard drive, I want to keep it in tact in case I ever need warranty and a bootable machine from the stock hard drive so I don't want to delete system files.
Thanks.

I saw that, that will ensure that the SSD is the boot up drive EVERY time without having to hold down any buttons or set it every time in system preferences? Once and that's it, right?

whatever you select in as the "start up disk" in system preferences.. will remain the default start up disk until you change it again. Hold Alt on boot and selecting a disk for that one boot doesn't change the default.
