Ripped my '300' DVD onto my MBP using MacTheRipper. Now how do I transfer it onto my iPod video? 5G?

You have to convert into .MP4 format. To do this, there is an option iTunes, which takes forever. I recommend using a third-party software to do the ripping, which doesn't take as long to convert.

When I put in a DVD to use Handbrake and use it as a source it doesn't work. Does it have anything to do with copyright software on the disk? If so, how can I get rid of it?

Instead of using Handbrake to rip the DVD, use MacTheRipper. It's more efficient.

Do you really think it's smart to talk about illegal action in a public forum?
Just asking... Good luck with your ripping, though.

What's illegal about encoding one's own dvds for viewing on the go?

Buying from iTunes is not the only way to obtain 'legal' digital media.

It works now, but it was dead for at least an hour and a half after I posted that.
