This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    How to remove sync and Time Machine icons...

    Yikes! I installed 10.5.2 and I have the .Sync and Time Machine icons stuck on my taskbar.

    How the heck do you remove it?

    Easiest way... hold down <noparse>Apple</noparse> (Command) and click-and-drag each onto the Desktop.

    Oh nice, thanks Xander. You'd have thought that Apple would have made it a bit more intuitive...

    you know, right click (or click) and hit remove from pane.

    While holding the command button you can just drag it off. If you move it to your desktop it will just vanish.

    Note,

    This may not work with 3-party apps.
