    I cant shutdown my mbp???

    I try to shut it down but it wont work. I click on it and it does nothing. So what can I do?

    Hold down the power button then. That should always work.

    press and hold the power button until the machine turns off.

    sometimes if Finder has an issue, something has caused it to lock up, etc. the normal shutdown method will not work.

    just hold down the power button for around 10seconds, and the machine will shutdown.
