    Hi all,
this is my first post but i've been lurking this forum (especially this section) for months, convincing myself (thanks to your great posts) I needed to switch.

Well, I did it. Ten minutes ago I ordered my first MacBook (a.k.a. glassbook, a.k.a. alubook :).

So, ten days from today, i will join the family!

After 20 years, i'm finally closing the 'windows', no more 'vista' (in italian, it means 'sight') for me :)

    Wish me luck,
    Bye bye,
    Isidoro

    Good for you.
I've never used a mac before but I'm now considering one because of windows vista.
Though I'm not to close to buying one yet.

    Hope you like it ;)

Congrats and good luck. I bought my very first MBP this week.

We will probably feel mentally like a 12 yr old when we boot it up for the first time -- but I'm also pretty sure we BOTH will never regret the purchase and will love the move away from windows.

Check out Sams sticky thread for newbies.

The same purpose you answering them. If you don't like this kind of posts just don't read them.

BTW, when you register in a new forum, netiquette wants you to introduce yourself and greet people on the forum in your first post. I always do this. Bye

Congrats on your purchase! I've ordered mine recently too (friday). Can't wait for it to arrive, we'll be the new generation of mac owners :p

Edit: I just checked the order status (I have been staring at the screen like a zombie since I ordered refreshing the page every other second) and it's finally preparing to ship : )

congrats on your new mac! although im a bit sketchy on generation 1 unibody macbook, felt that they are holding back some tech for future upgrades. I'm going to get the early 08 macbook pro for uni. Since my wait for alienware have been nothing but a waste of time.

BTW i don't see anything wrong with this kind of thread, don't be shy to share! :)
