I heard that iWork has some compatibility problems with Office files. How bad is it actually? Is there an improvement over iWork 09? And do I have to buy Office 2008, cuz I really like iWork better than what Microsoft offers...

And also, how usable are Office 2007 or 2003 under Crossover?

I have had no compatibility issues with Office files so far, but I expect it to happen sometime down the road. I really like iWork, and you shouldn't have to buy Office 08 just for it to be compatible. You could always export it over to OpenOffice and then export it again to a compatible word format. It's better than having to dish out $150+ for a compatible Office Suite. Office 2007 is in a bronz status in Crossover, which means it won't be fully compatible, but still works to your advantage. I''m not too sure about 2003.
