I deleted my 3 printers last night thought I was only deleting 1 and then I was going to reinstall the same printer because it didn't work anymore for some unknown reason so when I went to delete it erased all of them, now I can't find it on the home network at all in Mac but I find it in Vista , I have a problemI'm somewhat new to this mac stuff but I do know how to look for the printers but when it searched it didn't come up with any printer
Thanks again in advance

Go to the manufactures website and see if they have mac driver, I got the drivers for my Samsung printer, or if you have used time machine use that to restore them.
-
this may sound dumb, but have you tried looking in the trash?
-
I just tried and I went by the date but can't find them, any other ideas !
-
do you have a time machine backup? You may try to do a restore
-
No I never tried that thought i'd wait for a day when i'd need it
-
what the problem was I had 2 printers from my home on it then I stayed out at my brother inlaws house and was using his wireless network and I had everything working and then I couldn't print so I thought i'd remove the 1 printer but it deleted all my printers
-
I even have the driver disk for a mac from his brother printer and still can't work it

So you downloaded the file , and when you run it , it cannot find your printer so it stops the install , have you checked the cables?
Also is the link below your printer if so, click on drivers and find the ones you need.

When i click the + in printers i can hear the hdd working but it shows 0 printers , I had to install my Samsung one from a download , I have only had a mac for a couple of weeks and dont know everything yet.
-
I think I might have removed something from the OS but I can't imagine how when I only selected to delete a printer but I'm thinking something along the lines like if you delete something in device manager in MS and can't get it back , i'm thinking maybe this has happened

You could as a last resort do a repair install.
If you do, use the time machine to make a backup of how things are now, and if it all goes to hell you can re-install from it, I did when i got a Trojan.

Are you on the same subnet as the printer? same workgroup?
is it a WIFI printer or plugged into a router that your connecting to?
Can you ping the IP address of the printer?
Have you tried disabling your Firewall or other security software temporarily as a test? -
the last 2 days i've been going to movie sites when i say movie sites i mean rated PG - R theater movies so who knows if theirs a virus or not ( my printer didn't work so I removed and have nothing now ,
I'd like to do a repair but I don't have my recoverys with me i'll have to wait till tomorrow
I appreciate the help and your time

it's a wi-fi printer , I'm not sure how he has his set up ! I don't like to mess with his stuff because it's his business computer so I just connect to the wi-fi and printer I don't know the details of it all
No i haven't tried disabling the firewall, that would seem like a good idea since it's called for in other printers to do so
I just went to my security and it shows in firewall block incoming connections in printer sharing , could that be it ?
-
