I want to apologize to my MBP for almost trading it for a PC laptop. I almost sold the laptop on eBay but have realized that wasn't a smart move and I am going to keep my MBP for years.

I have installed Windows XP on my machine and I am using BootCamp which I believe is a solid program. Anyway, I feel bad for my MBP and just wanted to apologize to it in front of all of it's friends.

    Sincerely,
    Mike

How's it running with BootCamp? Is there any lag between screens, or programs that just won't run?

    Thanks!

i don't think bootcamp impacts the performance of Windows in anyway, since it merely allows you to choose Windows or OS X to be booted, and it contains a set of hardware drivers for Windows. Unless those drivers are not optimized otherwise the performance of Windows on Mac should be just as good as Windows on PC.

Most of the hardware in Macs are made by the same companies as PCs, so the drivers are the same as non-apple PCs using Windows. A few mac specific components (trackpad, iSight, keyboard, etc) have Apple's own windows drivers.

I like bootcamp. I was considering getting parallels but for a free program, its wonderful. I like being able to switch between operating systems and not having Mac open and opening Windows inside of it.

    No glitches so far!
