Well they released a new battery for the new lineup of macbook pro's released today.
I just got a macbook pro (wish I waited lol) mine is the 2.66 with the 512mb graphics about a month ago. I see they upgraded to 2.8ghz and a larger HD.
Anyways the only thing that I really think I missed out on is the new 7 hour battery (the one previously in the 17")...battery life is important to me.
What I want to know is will the new battery work with my 15" macbook pro?
-
Most likely not, AFAIK the battery is bigger than the 1st gen unibody mbps.
-
No. It's like the 17inch built in.

damn well I read the read up on their site and they say this:
"With the new MacBook Pro, Apple engineers went further. To make the lithium-polymer battery even bigger, they looked for extra space within the enclosure. And they found it in an unlikely place — the removable battery itself."
Damn then further down
"To give the MacBook Pro the biggest battery possible without adding size or weight, Apple engineers eliminated all the parts required of a removable battery and embedded the battery into the notebook."
Darn... -
no,they use different "connections"
Ill be the first to ask...new improved macbook pro battery interchangeable?
