I currently sync my iPhone on my PC but I want to sync it on my MacBook from now on because of the Garage Band and creating ringtones etc. So I know iTunes asks to erase and sync when changing the computer you sync it to my question is will this erase everything apps, contacts etc? If so how do I back those up? Or will it just erase the media on my iPhone? Thanks guys!

It will erase the media on your iPhone (music, movies, contacts etc) if you have not moved them over to your Mac prior to the first sync.

Don't forget to authorize your mac via iTunes if you have any iTunes purchased media.
