I'm planning on getting iWork '08 and I was wondering what's the preferred method of installing it? Would it be better to completely delete iWork '06 and do a clean install of iWork '08 or should I just leave iWork '06 and would it install iWork '08 separately or upgrade on top of it? iWork '08 also seems smaller than iWork '06, so are there fewer templates, in which case is there a way to keep the old iWork '06 templates, or does iWork '08 just use better compression?

I guess a similar question would be for iLife '08, whether you would just install it on top of iLife '06 or do a clean install?

iwork '08 will install beside iwork '06. so you shouldn't have to worry about damaging either.

as for ilife, i have just been installing over for the last two versions. (06 over 05, and 08 over 06) and haven't had a problem with them.
