Is it possible to get the education discount and ipod rebate at a non-apple store retailer like CompUSA? The reason is I would like to take advantage of their no interest promotion.

    thanks.

The education discount, I believe, is only available directly from Apple. The iPod deal might be as well.

Yeah, generally the educational pricing and the iPod nano rebate are only done when buying through Apple. I've heard of some cases where someone got a manager at a CompUSA to give them the educational price on an MBP, but I don't think that is common.

Around here there are a few private apple stores, all of them give the education discount, but none of them give the iPod rebate. In order to get both of these, you have to purchase the computer through apple.
