Greetings,
I've been hearing that the new 2012 Air's can be maxed out to 8GB, but what i haven't heard is whether this was installable by a user, or as a factory installed option only.
I know the in the previous Airs that additional RAM was not user installable.
Anyone out there know the answer to this for the 2012 version?
Thanks!

no, ALL Macbook Airs have soldered on ram and can not be later upgraded

I think it's non-replaceable on the new MBPs too.

Ouch! That is a bit disappointing.
Thanks for the quick reply.

This burns if true.

only on the retina MBP 15 which is made a lot like an Air.
The standard 13 and 15 new MBPs still have replaceable stuff, they are just like the old models with an upgrade.
Is RAM upgradable in new 2012 11" Macbook Air
