I'm thinking about purchasing the Seagate 300GB Pushbutton Backup External Hard Drive, anybody using this external hard drive? If so, what are your thoughts or reviews. I can't make up my mind between the Seagate 300GB Pushbutton External Hard Drive or the Seagate 500GB Free Agent Pro. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thank you!

Personally, I'd go over to NewEgg and price out a Vantec Nexstar3 USB enclosure and a 300-320GB internal 3.5" hard drive. I think you will find it is much cheaper to build this yourself.

It depends on what you are looking for. Personally I would get the 500GB drive, because most of those one-touch systems don't work with OS X and even if they do, the programs for them are generally pretty bad. You are better off just getting a clean drive and using something such as SuperDuper! to do the backup.

I'd say go for the 500GB Free Agent which, if you look around, you can find for like $120. With Time Machine in Leopard you probably wouldn't get much out of the 'one-touch' backup.
