I'm wondering if anyone is running Windows via parallels installed from their bootcamp install on Windows?

How does it work? Are there any issues? I'm interested in hearing about it. Any links are welcome, too. Thanks.

I run it that way, no issues. When you first start parallels you can choose "my boot camp" and boom, it sets it up for you and its all good.

You can think of using parallels that way the same way imap email works. Everything you do in Parallels or boot camp will be synced in either side when you're done. Uninstalling/installing programs, documents saved, etc. I haven't had issues with that so far.

If you have any other specific questions, feel free to ask.

I have it set up that way, and there's no real problems. I do have one issue where I have to re validate Windows every so often because of the "hardware changes", so that can get annoying(I haven't booted into XP in months, though).

I am assuming you are both running XP?

Does that mean the full calling to activate?

    Yes to both.
I think this may be remedied by using XP pro, as I've done major hardware changes on a computer with XP pro installed(like changing ram from 2GB to 256 to 1GB, then swapping out network cards and adding a video card), and never had to re validate.
