Is it worth upgrading the MBP monitor to the 1050 display for $90? My student discount on apple takes 10dollars off and I'm wondering if its actually a big difference than the regular 900 display

just depends how much resolution you like to have... basically there is more pixels on the screen so more fits on the screen but is slightly smaller.

Are there any places that can show a side by side of a normal screen and then one with the upgraded monitor?

Also does the matte display wash out the colors? I'm interested in that also but I don't want to ruin the picture on it.
