I checked the heat, and it says the temperature is around 110F, is that normal?

At first, I thought you meant 100C... I was like, woah, totally not normal. But 100F~38C, which is pretty normal. I think that's actually a little cool for Macbook Pros.

Same reaction as notebook_ftw, I went "holy, 100 C?". But 100 F is perfectly normal.

Mine runs at 80 degrees (176F) (both cpu and gpu) while playing wow constantly.

Btw, how do you manually turn the fan up or down?

Use an application called SMC Fan Control.

Does turning the fans on/off really work? anyone else tried this? might make me buy one (mbp) cause everyone says it gets freaking hot, and i use my laptop on my laps (duh) A LOT.

its going to get hot if you do intensive tasks, just like any laptop would.

but i guess the aluminum case conducts some of the heat, and it can get pretty warm. it can be very cool though if you regulate the fans and have the machine on a proper surface.

I hate the sound of the fans. They're the quietest fans ever thankfully, but they're still audible. That + the Zalman cooler and I've got quite the buzz.
