I checked the heat, and it says the temperature is around 110F, is that normal?

stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
on what? the cpu? yes im at 140F right now.
-
Just noticed the back of my mbp is a little hot, its hot, but it isn't intolerable just pretty hot.
-
stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
all mbp get hot. i think its got to do with how thin they are...
-
CPU or GPU?
If its CPU, then as mentioned, its totally fine. -
-
At first, I thought you meant 100C... I was like, woah, totally not normal. But 100F~38C, which is pretty normal. I think that's actually a little cool for Macbook Pros.
-
Same reaction as notebook_ftw, I went "holy, 100 C?
". But 100 F is perfectly normal.
-
hahahah, same. I was like how the hell are you not roasting your fingers while typing!!
-
I turned the fans up to 3500rpm, I still can't hear it really, and now its actually pretty cold, I mean, the back was once hot, now its freakin cold.
-
Mine runs at 80 degrees (176F) (both cpu and gpu) while playing wow constantly.
Btw, how do you manually turn the fan up or down? -
-
Does turning the fans on/off really work? anyone else tried this? might make me buy one (mbp) cause everyone says it gets freaking hot, and i use my laptop on my laps (duh) A LOT.
-
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
its going to get hot if you do intensive tasks, just like any laptop would.
but i guess the aluminum case conducts some of the heat, and it can get pretty warm. it can be very cool though if you regulate the fans and have the machine on a proper surface. -
I just love the sound of my fans! Heh, it almost makes me fall asleep when I listen to them at 3500rpm. =P
-
-
Heh, I can't sleep without the sound of the fan, so I'm pretty used to it. xD
Is temperatures over 100 normal?
