I'm not exactly sure what you mean.

if your not going to use primarily osx why on earth are you looking at MBP's?
EVERY laptop has trade offs if you are going to run windows primarily loosen up your restrictions and find a high quality windows unit. thinness will be tougher as mist windows units are slightly thicker
if you dont mind the pricetag razor makes one thinner and higher performing but rather pricey

@OP, I also wasn't the biggest fan of OSX and got an MBP, but I ended up liking it more after I got used to it, so I would try it out more.
The battery life is a lot better in OSX, MBP is kind of built for the OS in some ways. -
Hey, I just saw on the Notebook Review home page that a new Envy is coming out on December 7, and, my God that thing is beautiful!! All the details: that red tinting around the keyboard, the keyboard itself lifted straight from a MacBook Pro, and, best of all, the GORGEOUS Radiance display is back!!! And, considering that it's now 15", it will probably be more powerful than the old 14". And 9 hours battery! So, basically, after three months of desperate searching I think I may have found what I was looking for: a MacBook Pro designed for Windows. -
) - so basically, it's much less powerful than a MacBook Pro, and it is 0.1 inches thinner. And people would pay an additional $400 for something like that just because it has a cool number pad screen thing or whatever it is and some green keyboard backlighting?

I'm so glad I've spent dozens of posts in your various threads trying to help you find a laptop, because you clearly read what people write in your threads very carefully and with much thought.

Samsung 7 series Chrono
Latest version is the S04: NP700Z5A-S04US
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-NP700...QSGW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1322269753&sr=8-2
Remarkably similar to the MB and has much better specs. Trackpad is not quite as good as the MB imo but about 90% and you can customize it.
Overall build quality and finish is not matching of the MB but again about 9/10 of it without the weight of aluminum. Much sturdier hinge and is an i7 2.2 w/ radeon 6750m, 6gb ram. Thinner than the MB and is "microsoft signature". -
Thanks everybody, but I will now be waiting for the new HP Envy and make my decision then. Sad it's coming out right after Black Friday.

If you don't get it now, it would be a waste of time trying to explain it.
-
It would be helpful if you guys used quotes, though - then I would know what you were referring to. -
Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
you would still be clueless

Here you go:
"Hey, I have crazy requirements. I'm in the X forum, I want exactly X but not X, can you help me?"
"Umm... not sure why we would know, but here - check out A and B"
"Well, they're great, but not X"
"..."
...a few threads and 100 posts later...
"I finally decided to check out A. It's amazing. I'm going to get it."
"*Sigh...* don't forget to check out B"
"Thanks for all the help, but I'm not going to look at B or anything else until A is released" <- (typing this post took as long or longer than looking up B)
"*facepalm smiley*"
"Why facepalm?" -
Lol.
And you are still wondering why everyone on this forum seems to be so harsh to you.
I remember helping you on your first post, back then you were so arrogant in your macbook pro defense about how we should not recommend crappy windows machines.
I see people like you in school all the time, I'd say unless you are willing to devote some time in learning about OS X, you shouldn't get one.
Stop making these threads that end up you ignoring all the suggestions and just make others feel like they've wasted their time. We're not here to listen to your childish conundrum.
Next thread you make regarding this topic again, I'm reporting you to the mods.

P.S. In what way do I have crazy requirements, though? All I'm looking for is a laptop that's very similar or EVEN A LITTLE WORSE than an MBP; just with Windows. Is that crazy??? If I had a budget of $700, it would be crazy. But my budget is $2300.... What's so crazy??? -
