I switched from TP to MBA last month. The only thing I miss is the trackpoint(redhat) from thinkpad. There's no need to leave the keyboard when using mouse.

Can MBA have the same power?

I have to admit that the touch pad will take some getting used to on the MacBook Pro. It is awesomely big and I like the fact that it actually clicks (while most others simply tap). I even designated a bottom right click as being a right-click. After Lion (which will bring even more uses to the track pad), I don't see myself ever using a physical mouse with my MBP. In fact, I still haven't purchased one and likely won't.

Then again, I was never a fan of those stupid nubs and always preferred track pads to those. To me, it always went like this: physical mouse>track pad>keyboard only>nub. I think Apple has really done something with their track pads over the last few years and they have become a selling point (especially since the 13" model still has a pad larger than most 17" notebooks on the market).
