Yeah, that's normal. Its normal in the sense that its there, not normal in the sense that it should be there
. Its just the way it is, your MacBook isn't any different. Don't worry about it.

But really.. That sucks.. It should NOT be like that.. Mine has it to, and it just shows how poorly MacBooks are build.. I think it really sucks, and that it shouldn't be that way..

stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
i think you guys are over reacting. honestly, i probably would have never even noticed it on mine had i not seen any threads about it.

@OP: I wouldn't accept your issue from Apple. Return the machine for repair or replacement. IMO, you'll find that Apple, especially if you deal in person with a "Genius," will be helpful and do their best to satisfy you. Apple appreciates repeat and referral customers. Good luck. -
how often do macbooks do this? i've had mine for about 3 months and i haven't noticed anything like this yet...

Hmm.. Thanks for the info Sam, but then again I'm not quite that sure what exactly i'm looking for. The picture and description didn't give me the best idea of what to look for in this issue. Could you be a little more specific on what exactly is going on here?
-
Its basically the issue of the frame around the LCD isn't perfectly flush against the screen, leaving a small gap around some areas. Nothing "fatal'.
-
weird I never heard of this issue before, thanks for pointing it out

I made an appointment and went and saw the Genuis's today and they replaced the bezel while I waited...which was awesome! The receipt for the warranty work indicated that they replaced my bezel with "MacBook Bezel Version 2." Wonder if they redesigned the part?
Then I got home and noticed a gouge or chip in my LCD and a gouge on the lidI am sure they would say they were already there...wish I had noticed while I was there!
Is this normal on my MacBook
