Yeah, that's normal. Its normal in the sense that its there, not normal in the sense that it should be there :p. Its just the way it is, your MacBook isn't any different. Don't worry about it.

But really.. That sucks.. It should NOT be like that.. Mine has it to, and it just shows how poorly MacBooks are build.. I think it really sucks, and that it shouldn't be that way..

I hate to say this because I love my Macs and Apple "stuff" in general: my experience with two MB's (which I thought were beautiful and, when they worked properly, were terrific machines), wasn't up to Apple's usual standards. My own machines had problems other than that of this topic, but they were continual, and happened one after the other, on and on - very frustrating.

@OP: I wouldn't accept your issue from Apple. Return the machine for repair or replacement. IMO, you'll find that Apple, especially if you deal in person with a "Genius," will be helpful and do their best to satisfy you. Apple appreciates repeat and referral customers. Good luck.

You should notice it right away or pretty soon if your MacBook had this...its either a manufacturing issue or caused by heat from the MacBook's vent on the back, so since your MacBook doesn't have it, and its been 3 months, I think you're good, Scott :p.

Hmm.. Thanks for the info Sam, but then again I'm not quite that sure what exactly i'm looking for. The picture and description didn't give me the best idea of what to look for in this issue. Could you be a little more specific on what exactly is going on here?

Its basically the issue of the frame around the LCD isn't perfectly flush against the screen, leaving a small gap around some areas. Nothing "fatal'.

I made an appointment and went and saw the Genuis's today and they replaced the bezel while I waited...which was awesome! The receipt for the warranty work indicated that they replaced my bezel with "MacBook Bezel Version 2." Wonder if they redesigned the part?

Then I got home and noticed a gouge or chip in my LCD and a gouge on the lid  I am sure they would say they were already there...wish I had noticed while I was there!
