Itunes randomly closes when opened. Virus scan came back negative and all of the file seems to be standard. version number 9.1.1 (12) of itunes and OS X 10.4.11. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Also updated Java, but it did nothing.

LOL desperate attempt but I'm willing to help you without the (O)(O). Maybe... Anyway try reinstalling itunes and see where that gets you. Does it come up with any error messages? Have you done anything recently with itunes?

    Try
    1) repairing disk permissions.
    2) reinstalling itunes
    3) creating a new itunes library, and then re-import the music.
    4) or try creating another user account login and see if iTunes crashes there too.
