This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Got my MBP last night, base model 15".

    2.2ghz, 2gb ram (upgrading to 4 myself)

    I got the base model because I just built a PC desktop for gaming and intensive apps.

    Just thought I'd let any almost switchers out there know, I wish hadn't built the PC and gotten the decked out MBP. As is it runs flawlessly and playing World of Warcraft I get 100+ fps dipping to 60s when I'm out doors, and this is with settings on high.

    Yea, 128MB of VRAM on it, cuz its the base model.
    Thought I was gunna be a little dissapointed, but its perfomance surprised me.

    Congratulations. I just got mine last week, I use it almost all the time and introduce my macbook pro to my friends. My wife said that I can work in the apple store, I am such a good seller.
