I just bought the MacBook 13" 2.2GHz - I read a lot of great info on here already. But I have three questions. I have not gone through the whole Forum so they may be answered already.

    3) I am REALLY trying to avoid using windows on my MAC. One of my bigger concerns is that I have used Microsoft Money for years, I have over 6 years worth of financial data in it. I am sure there is comparable software (anyone know the best?) - but I need to be able to somehow transfer all that history of information into the new software.

    Am I out of luck?

    2) Second question that I am sure is on here already somewhere. iTunes:

I have used iTunes on my PCs, but all of my music stays on an external hard drive. So I plan to do the same on the MacBook. How do I take all the info I have in iTunes with me? I would like to keep all the changes I made to song titles, artists, album art, play count, star ratings, playlists, what's checked and what's not, etc. Anyone point me to a good guide for that?

    3) Last question. I am going to upgrade my RAM (1GB) to at least 2GB if not 4GB. Any advice on a particular brand to use or avoid?

    THANKS.

    - Zak

    for 2)

You can just hook up the harddrive, open iTunes and goto 'File/Add Folder to Library' in iTunes, and it will import every song from the folder on the external hard drive, for example the folder called MUSIC.

All data inc. Name, Artist etc... will stay the same

So all that info - title/artist changes, star rating, play count is added to the song file itself? Playlists wouldn't be transferred that way would they? Thanks for replying.

What format is the drive in? You might be able to just plug it in.

The drive with my music on it. It is a Western Digital Passport - I am sure the drive will work. My concern is all the data I manually entered into iTunes. I had to fix a lot of song titles, artists, etc and want my play count, star rating, playlists, etc to transfer over to the Mac from my iTunes on my PC.
