Hey guys, I bought a MBP today but I made some stupid mistakes. When I filling out the rebate form, I put in a random name and address, however the receipt ID and everything else are real. My stupid intend was try to see how everything work, and thought the process will not go through until I hit some sort of "confirm" bottom. but all of a sudden this message showed up: "Your claim is approved! Your rebate will be mailed within three to five business days. You will receive an email once the rebate is mailed."
So what can I do now?! is there any way to reverse the process?

*sigh* call Apple (1-800-MY-APPLE) before they send it out. Next time put all your real information before you submit it.
EDIT: I don't know if I gave you the right phone for your scenario, but try that number anyway. Their support page is at http://www.apple.com/contact/
Also, congrats on your purchase! -

Normally it will not be sent till you send in the barcodes. But you do need to call them.
-
I dont know what you mean, because I also just bought a new mbp...and your suppose to fill out a form online, print out that form, and then mail it in, along with the bar codes from the boxes...but as they said before, just call apple and explain your problem...
-
^^not anymore, they do rebates online now. all you need to fill out is: name, address, receipt#, email, phone number, day purchased, and the amount you purchased. no need to cut off the barcodes or anything.

They don't *process* the rebate online----you fill out the form online just to get the barcode which they'll easily read with a barcode reader.
Repeat: You don't SUBMIT anything online! Just fill out a proper form and get a new barcode. If it doesn't allow you to do that, that's another story.
And as to Nirvana's last post: Yes, you do need to cut out UPCs, etc., and send them in. -
really? but what about this message? "Your claim is approved! Your rebate will be mailed within three to five business days. You will receive an email once the rebate is mailed."
here is what the rebate instruction card they gave me said:
1) with your receipt in hand. visit www.apple.com/promo to subit your claim. (You'll need an internet connection to do so. If you prefer, you can use any Mac in the Apple Retail Store to access this site and subit your rebate)
2) Click the Submit a Rebate button.
3) Then log in and follow the instruction. You'll be done in just a few minutes.
@fsucesar, sorry I misread your message. So all I need to do is re-fill it again? -

Err, sorry I just checked the website, and it's now *different* than how it used to be last September when I did my rebates.
Maybe *now* you do actually submit info. online.
Apologies for being misleading.......then again, as the others have said, the surest way to find out what to do is to call Apple. -
alright i just tried to do it again online, they won't let me. guess I will be calling apple at 9:01 am tomorrow.

Just called Apple, information corrected. they are very helpful as I expected.
