Does anyone know if it's OK to leave an iBook plugged in all the time (or any laptop for that matter)? I turn it off at the end of the day or put it in sleep mode, but I was wondering if keeping it plugged in shortens the battery life.

I don't think so, but I'm no tech guy. I unplug my laptop every night, just in case there's a power surge. I don't want my notebook fried.

Following up zazonz's post, everytime you plug in the laptop again, due to the fact that li-lon batteries will lose their charge, it will recharge the battery.... and as you know, the more you charge the life of the batt decreases... so its either you plug it in all the time, or take out the battery.
