I was writing a paper for school on my 10.6.4 Macbook, and was about to save it on pages. As soon as I was about to save to it the folder, a message came up saying I had to restart my computer. From the research I've done I think it's a Kernel Panics. Having spent thousands of dollars at apple, I figured they could help me.. but those folks are all about money & not helping their customers.. so thanks apple for allowing me to waste money on your company and lose my college paper.![]()

Hmm, Welcome to the Apple forum. Is the system in question the 2006 MB 13" you "acquired" that had many broken parts on it? Looking at you recent posts I see that you now own a brand new Alienware notebook and Office 2007. Your claim of spending $1000's of dollars at Apple seems a bit suspect as well as the possibility that you even were working with the system to begin with or even called Apple support due to the age of the system.

Thanks for sharing. Sorry for your troubles. Choose Word which autosaves along the way.
BTW, see this link: http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/kernelpanics.html
