The Mac mini is already technically unibody, the bottom part comes out with all the guts attached to it.

 

i cant beleive theyd still push it out having 2ghz. Sure its fine for normal usage, but they could atleast do 2.2 or 2.4

That's what has always been with mac minis.

Have you ever seen a high-end component in that machine since the very first edition? Its aim is to barely run Mac OS so that peaople can surf the internet and write some IM messages.

Yeah I agree, especially the way technology is constantly changing and improving, so should these Mac Mini's to better internals with the rest of computers.

 

Are there any applications which would run on 2.4Ghz but not 2Ghz ?
0.4Ghz is only a 20% bump in CPU.

If the price is right those specs are pretty decent.

 

I've always had a soft spot for the mini. Hopefully it comes out w/ guns blazing and aggressive pricing.

Price should be lower, its about time they updated it!

 

I think that its only a 2.0Ghz so that you can be pushed to buy there other more expensive systems

Me too - Sure a newer, refreshed design would be kool but then it would ruin the way it camos itself in with the TimeCaspule and other Mac Products

Now all the blogs have to take back what they said about it being fake.

 

Doesn't mean it's real......just means there's a mockup/prototype in the wild.

Someone could have simply designed it for the sole purpose of getting people like you overly excited!

You can tell the original picture was forged, it's undeniable. Perhaps someone built a mock-up of the device after seeing that picture, and then shot the video.

There will be a new mac mini released in March/April... its been on the cards for so long... does it really matter if this is fake or not?
we pretty much know what it will be ... a base model macbook without a screen... but congrats to seshan for guessing right anyway !
If the price is dropped then I might be interested so that I can use it as my htpc/TM/Drobo server.

perhaps it's a real one bit i think apple would make the top casing in aluminium if ever a new mac mini is released. the plastic top ruins its beauty
